a) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EVENT

Place: Tanjong Beach 3, Sentosa
Prizes: a) for Mixed 4-on-4: 1st place: $500, 2nd place: $300, 3rd place: $200, 4th place: $100
b) for Men Elite: 1st place: $250, 2nd place: $150
b) COMPETITION FORMAT
Two categories:
1: 4-on-4 Mixed. Maximum of 6 people in a team (2 reserves)
Max number of teams: 32
N.B: Mixed means 2 ladies are to be on court at all times.
2: 2-on-2 Men Elite.
Max number of teams: 8
N.B: No reserves allowed for Men Elite.
c) REGISTRATION DETAILS:
For the 4-on-4 Mixed Category, price is $90 per team , regardless of number of members.
For the Elite Men Category, price is $40 per team.

d) RULES AND REGULATIONS
Game Play: Beach volleyball rules will apply for all matches being played.
Court Switch (from Round 1 to Final)
- There will be a switch of court at 11 points.
Play time
- Maximum play time is 20 minutes per match from round 1 to Semifinals. In the event that a match exceeds 20 minutes and both teams are tied at the same score, the team that wins the next point wins the match.
Blocking
1) A block is considered one hit.
2) Block of service is a foul.
Time out
Each team is allowed to have 1 time out of 20 seconds.
Miscellaneous
Contingency
1) The competition will stop in the event of lightning risk.
2) The organising committee holds the right to alter fixture, tournament format and/or scoring system, or cancel the event should unforeseen bad weather prohibits the tournament to be completed as scheduled.
3) The control committee will make announcements and/or inform all team captains of any changes.
4) It is also the teams’ responsibility to await further instructions from the organising committee on days of the tournament.
5) The organising committee holds the right to decide on any issues raised that are not stated in the General Regulations.
6) All decisions made by the organising committee are final.
